The Company
La 3 et demie
“3 et demi/ 3 and a half” is a pedagogical time in partner-acrobatics that allows us to listen to our bodies and those of others. It is a motor rhythm that brought us together and inspired us to build this collective project.
The company La 3 et demie was created at the end of 2022 by Chiara, Hannah, Apolline, Baptiste, and Elie. We meet in Catalonia to bring the script of “Ce sera pire après” to life, a multidisciplinary quintet (partner-acrobatics, physical theater, absurd, clowning, object manipulation, and dance).
Between 2019 and 2022, we trained at the international school of circus and theater at the Centro de Artes Urbanas (CAU) in Granada, Andalusia, specializing in hand-to-hand. It was during these years that we met, built this friendship, and decided to embark on this collective project.
Since October 2022, we have been training with Amer Kabbani in hand-to-hand and banquine.
In 2023, we began our first creative residencies with the help of Antxón Ordoñez, who assisted us in writing the first version of the show.
In 2024, we continued creating, this time with just the five of us, to finalize the second version of the show.
At the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025, with dramaturgical support from Philine Dahlmann, we tackle the final phase of the creation.
Apolline
A girl from the port, she loves drinking an arabica coffee in an old bar with a sea view. Always in search of balance, often with her head upside down. You’ll never see her without her fringe and her adorable rat-dog.
Chiaro Born in Argentina, in Venado Tuerto (translated: “One-Eyed Deer”). Distinctive feature: she rocks it and trembles when she drinks too much mate.
As her grandmother says: “She’ll go far, but probably never reach 1.50 meters.”
Baptiste Born in Beauce in 1994.
He goes fast and far, on foot or by bike, forced to be eco-friendly due to a lack of budget. Juggler troubadour, fan of red traffic lights. Professional complainer, professional base, and all-rounder with a big heart.
Elie The village idiot in Trémargat, the prodigy child for grandma. Raised on Petit Filous, the sly one with an angelic face grows up and becomes a performer. He learns as fast as he eats. Everything happens very quickly.
Hannah German quality. The most solid element of the group. Everything could collapse, and she would still stand: “No, no, it’s fine.” A polyglot who would be friends with Eugène Ionesco.
